Glenn Beck sparked controversy this week by alleging a conspiracy and cover up may have taken place regarding the April 15 Boston Marathon bombings.
His Boston Marathon bombing conspiracy does not suggest the whole thing was staged by actors (some believe this), but rests upon this belief:
There is more to the initial Saudi national suspect than we're being told, and the U.S. government may be hiding his involvement in this or other terrorist acts.
Abdul Rahman Ali Alharbi, a Saudi national, was cleared of involvement in the bombings after briefly being detained in the aftermath of the blast.
It was discovered that his visa to stay in the U.S. had expired, however, and he may soon be deported. Beck is challenging why, for a variety of reasons.
Alharbi is supposedly in violation of section 212 3B of the Immigration and Nationality Act, citing "security and related grounds" and "terrorist activities."
Beck isn't the only one watching this Congressman Jeff Duncan (R-SC) expressed concerns that Alharbi is being deported "due to national security concerns."
"I'm not saying it's related to Boston, but he is being deported," he said.
In response, Janet Napolitano only said, "Like I said, again, I don't even think he was technically a person of interest or a suspect - that was a wash."
"I am unaware of any proceeding there. I will clarify that for you, but I think this is an example of why it is so important to let law enforcement do its job."
Beck alleges a Boston bombing investigation conspiracy, claiming the man was flagged on a terror watch list but was granted a U.S. student visa anyway:
"We don't know at this point how [the Saudi national Abdul Rohman Ali Alharbi] was involved … but I do know he was involved [in the Boston bombing."
Beck claims the Saudi national's deportation under section 212, 3B indicates "proven terrorist activity" and says that this charge "has to be almost certain."
He says after Secretary of State John Kerry met with Saudi ministers, the FBI started "backtracking from suspect, to person of interest, to witness, to victim, to nobody."
Beck claims that President Barack Obama reportedly had a meeting with Saudi Foreign Ministers, which led to the Saudi national's fate being changed:
"Wednesday at 5:35 p.m. the file is altered. This is unheard of, this is impossible in the timeline due to the severity of the charge," the pundit proclaimed.
"You don't one day put a 212 3B charge against somebody with deportation, and then the next day take it off. It would require too much to do it."
Dzhokhar Tsarnaev has been charged with the Boston Marathon bombings, and may face the death penalty for using a weapon of mass destruction.
