Eminem on Past Drug Use: I Nearly Died Jun 29th 2013, 20:09, by Hilton Hater In a new documentary titled "How to Make Money Selling Drugs," Eminem opens up about his history of drug abuse, detailing just how low he fell when his substance abuse issues were at their worst. "My bottom was going to be death," he states in the following excerpt. Marshall Mathers Documentary Excerpt The rapper popped 10 to 20 Vicodin pills per day at one point and explained that his first experience with the drug was enlightening. "[I] didn't feel any pain. It just kind of numbed things." Eminem says he would lash out at anyone who claimed he had a problem ("I literally thought I could control it."), but one overdose put things in perspective. "Had I got to the hospital about two hours later, I would have died," he said of the incident. "My organs were shutting down. My liver, kidneys, everything. They were gonna have to put me on dialysis, they didn't think I was gonna make it." The artist says he relapsed about a month after this frightening ordeal. "I remember just walking around my house and thinking every single day, like, I'm gonna fucking die. I'm looking at my kids, and like, I need to be here for this." So he eventually sobered up, acknowledging that it's been a "learning process" and offered words of advice to anyone in a similar situation: "I would say to anybody, 'It does get better, you know. It just does.'" The documentary opens on June 29 and also features interviews with Russell Simmons and Woody Harrelson.

Paula Deen Dropped By Publisher Despite Soaring Book Sales Jun 29th 2013, 17:59, by Free Britney Lots of people still love them some Paula Deen recipes. Ballantine Books does not seem to care, however. The chef's rough month just got worse with the loss of a lucrative publishing deal, despite the fact that her latest cookbook has soared to #1 on Amazon. Ballantine announced it would not publish her upcoming effort, announcing that it also made the "difficult decision to cancel" her current best-seller. The division of Random House also announced it is nixing a five-book deal it signed with Deen last year, believed to be worth millions of dollars. The decision came after companies including Sears, J.C. Penney, Walmart, Target and Kmart announced they would stop selling her products, including books. "When Walmart, Target and J.C. Penney all announced they are discontinuing their Paula Deen business, including books, it is awfully tough," said a source. "This was purely a business decision." Paula Deen's New Testament: 250 Favorite Recipes, All Lightened Up has actually experienced a boost in sales since she was fired by Food Network. Deen's fall from grace began when a transcript of a lawsuit deposition was released and showed that she admitted to using racial slurs in the last. The admission created a firestorm and although Deen issued multiple video apologies, she has watched her lucrative business deals fall like dominos. On Wednesday, she made a tearful and what seemed to be sincerely apologetic appearance on the Today show, but even that did not stop the bleeding. Deen is absolutely furious with Lisa Jackson, the woman suing her for discrimination, and alleged in court papers that the chef made racist remarks. While Paula admitted using epithets in the past, she denies Jackson's allegations and blames what she sees as a bogus lawsuit for her downfall. Tracy Anderson - the trainer who has worked on a couple of Kim Kardashian workout videos - told Us Weekly that her client is in "baby heaven" and super motivated to get fit once again. "It's a tough time, and a lot of women feel like it's a huge mountain to climb to get back, but Kim, surprisingly, has had the totally opposite reaction to other moms," Anderson says, adding: "She's like, 'We're going to be so good. It's fun, I feel great!' She just loves the whole process... She's excited to get started, but she's really calm about it all." Anderson also works with Gwyneth Paltrow, Jennifer Lopez, Bethenny Frankel, and Shiri Appleby. She says Kim will need to wait a few more weeks before really getting serious, but Tracy has a plan already for how to get that bikini body back. "In the beginning, it's key getting the deep abdominal muscles back and making sure that you get the strength back in the right layers. "Kim is super motivated. She's all in. Pregnancy is actually an opportunity for women to look better than ever. And [Kim] will." Especially when there's likely a seven figure check waiting for her to pose on the cover of a tabloid in a couple months.

Blackhawks Thank Bruins, City of Boston in Classy Open Letter Jun 29th 2013, 11:00, by Free Britney After defeating the Boston Bruins to win the Stanley Cup this week, the Chicago Blackhawks took out a full-page ad in the rival city's Boston Globe. The purpose: To thank the Bruins, their fans and Boston itself. Pretty classy gesture by the Blackhawks, especially after celebrating their Cup victory on Boston's home ice with a dramatic Game 6 clincher. Win like men, lose like men. Both goals can be elusive. But based on the contents of this letter, it appears the members of both NHL finalists did just that, along with the fans of the 2011 champion Bruins. Refreshing, wouldn't you say?

Woman Auctions Off Virginity to Pay For School Jun 29th 2013, 11:15, by Free Britney A 21-year-old woman named "Tamara" from San Felipe, Chile is selling her virginity to the highest bidder for a good cause - to pay for higher education. The woman recently posted the offer on Aconcagua VIP, a Chilean escort site, claiming that she needed the money to pay off her university debt. "Hi, I'm Tamara, I'm 21 years old and I'm selling my virginity because I have a big debt with the school and my family can't pay for it," the ad reads. "I need money. If not, I wouldn't do this." The ad included six pictures of Tamara seductively posing in her underwear, as well as some rules and guidelines for her many prospective buyers. She said she requires the winner to use protection and will only accept offers from individual men - to couples, lesbians, groups or men with fetishes. Not surprisingly, the advertisement has generated a slew of reactions since it went viral, ranging from supportive to surprised to strongly opposing. Tamara is not the first woman to auction off her virginity. There was Natalie Dylan right here in the U.S., and there have been others abroad as well. In September, Brazil resident Catarina Migliorini, 20, announced she was selling her purity in an auction starting at $155,000 in order to donate to charity. Catarina ended up achieving her goal and then some after a Japanese man warded off the competition by offering her a staggering $780,000. Congratulations?

Skylar Neese Case: Teen Murdered By Two Closest Friends Jun 29th 2013, 10:45, by Free Britney The murder of Skylar Neese by her two closest friends - one of whom confessed to stabbing her and lying about it for months - shocked her hometown. Skylar, a West Virginia teen, disappeared on July 6, 2012 and for six months her family and friends searched for her and pleaded for her return. Rachel Shoaf and an unidentified teen had been her best friends for years and they cried with her parents and helped look for their missing friend. All the while, knowing they were guilty of her murder. Skylar, 16, came home from work at a fast food restaurant and was last seen on surveillance video in her apartment complex climbing out of her bedroom window. When Skylar didn't return that night or go to school or work the next day and her parents alerted the police and a six-month long search for her began. Rachel and the other girl, who has not been identified because she has not been charged as an adult yet, were constantly with Skylar's parents. "She walked in when she came here. She didn't even knock. She was like our daughter," Dave Neese said of their relationship with the unidentified girl. The girls misled investigators and Skylar's parents until January when Rachel finally confessed that they had lured their friend out with them. At that point, they drove her to a remote area in Wayne Township, Pa., where at an agreed upon time, they stabbed her repeatedly for unknown reasons. During the May 1 hearing prosecutor Marcia Ashdown said the girls tried to bury Skylar but were unable so they covered her body with branches. Her mother, Mary Neese, said the girls didn't tell the truth and that is how they were finally arrested. "One after another, just lie, lie, lie," she said. "Did the same thing to the police." "That's how the police got onto them, because they would forget what they told them at one point and tell them another, totally different story." Classmates of the girls told authorities that they even overheard them talking about the murder but didn't believe that they were telling the truth. The unidentified teen posted a picture online with Skylar and wrote a note begging her to come home, despite being involved in her disappearance.

Alec Baldwin Apologizes for Twitter Rant, Denies Homophobia Jun 29th 2013, 12:26, by Hilton Hater Alec Baldwin has apologized for once again flipping his $hit at a reporter. The latest incident only took place on Twitter - in response to a Daily Mail writer alleging that Baldwin's wife was on her phone during James Gandolfini's funeral this week - but it was especially ugly because it seemed to contain muliple gay slurs. Baldwin referred to George Stark as a "queen," for example. "My ill-advised attack on George Stark of the Daily Mail had absolutely nothing to do with issues of anyone's sexual orientation," Baldwin said in a statement to GLAAD late yesterday. He added: "My anger was directed at Mr. Stark for blatantly lying and disseminating libelous information about my wife and her conduct at our friend's funeral service. As someone who fights against homophobia, I apologize. "I have worked, periodically, with numerous marriage equality organizations, especially over the past couple of years, to achieve the very rights that gay couples are earning by recent court decisions. I would not advocate violence against someone for being gay and I hope that my friends at GLAAD and the gay community understand that my attack on Mr. Stark in no way was the result of homophobia. Many Thanks, Alec Baldwin." Baldwin's former 30 Rock co-star, Tracy Morgan, also got in trouble in 2011 for a stand-up routine in which he went off on gays. Both men have seen their subsequent apologizes accepted by GLAAD.

But now that there's a movie being made about their story, they've decided to speak up. Hear from the real Perron family in the new trailer for The Conjuring, which is based on their lives. The Conjuring Movie Trailer Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson star as the Warrens, a pair of paranormal investigators who are called upon to study the Perron family's supposedly haunted home. What they find is one of the most terrifying demonic presences they've ever faced. Lili Taylor, Ron Livingston, Mackenzie Foy, Shannon Kook, Joey King, Hayley McFarland, Stanley Caswell, John Brotherton, and Steve Coulter also star. The Conjuring is directed by James Wan, and premieres July 19.

Lauren Spierer Family Sues Three Men Last Seen With Missing Student Jun 28th 2013, 18:29, by Free Britney Lauren Spierer's family has filed a lawsuit against three former college students who were the last people seen with the missing Indiana University student. Spierer, a sophomore at Indiana from Greenburgh, N.Y., disappeared two years ago in Bloomington, Ind., after a night of partying with friends and acquaintances. Robert and Charlene Spierer claim in a lawsuit that their daughter's last known interaction with Corey Rossman, Mike Beth and Jay Rosenbaum is to blame. Her interaction with the three former students ultimately resulted in the 20-year-old's "disappearance, death or injury," according to attorney Jason Barclay. The complaint says the men's negligence led to the disappearance of Lauren Spierer, which remains unsolved, according to state and local police. The lawsuit was filed last month in Monroe County, Ind. The complaint seeks a jury trial against the men, who are no longer students, and monetary damages. The family's attorney said it was not a decision they made lightly, or one made with the presumption of anything more than the documents imply. "Rob and Charlene Spierer authorized the filing of this lawsuit with great reluctance and only after we counseled them that they would lose certain legal rights if not exercised by the two-year anniversary of Lauren's disappearance," Barclay said in a statement. "We hope no one will misinterpret this action. Any parent in search of information about a missing child would use every resource available to them," he added. "Therefore, we intend to use the rights afforded by the civil justice system to obtain answers to questions that have gone unanswered for too long." "We fully expect that those with relevant information will cooperate with this process." Fox News interviewed the Spierers last month in an interview during which they expressed doubts the men were telling the truth about their daughter's last hours. Robert Spierer, for his part, specifically said he is not convinced Lauren ever left the men's apartment building, which was her last known stop that night.

Pedro Pascal - who has appeared on episode of Red Widow, Graceland and The Good Wife - will come on board next year as The Red Viper, the cunning Prince of Dorne who has a score to settle in the Westeros capital: His sister was among those murdered when Mad King Aerys was overthrown by Robert Baratheon and the Lannisters. David Benioff and Dan Weiss told Entertainment Weekly that casting the role was "tough" because the prince is sexy and charming… but also dangerous and inspired by hate. Paula Deen RIPS Lisa Jackson Over Bogus Racism Allegations, Lawsuit Jun 28th 2013, 19:09, by Free Britney Paula Deen has filed a blistering response to the lawsuit that is torpedoing her career, claiming Lisa Jackson embellished or made up her racism allegations. Yes, Paula admitted using racial slurs in the deposition she gave, but remember that she has NOT admitted anything Jackson has accused her of. Deen said, under oath, that she has used racial epithets in the past, in conversations with friends and family - never in a discriminatory situation. She is fuming that Jackson, who was fired as manager of Uncle Bubba's Seafood and Oyster House, is actually asking for damages based on racism. Citing discrimination and harassment, Lisa Jackson claims she is "African-American adjacent" - her partner has a biracial niece, she claims in the lawsuit. According to Deen, Jackson's niece is NOT African-American, but Hispanic. Also, Paula is furious that Jackson alleges she used the n-word in connection with her brother Bubba's wedding, yet has never offered any proof of this. Thus, Deen feels she was deposed in a lawsuit and forced to admit having used shameful - but quite possibly irrelevant - terms based on bogus claims. As we know, in the wake of the scandal, she's been fired by Food Network ... and Walmart, Caesars, Smithfield Foods, Target, and (sort of) QVC. The celebrity chef wants the case thrown out, and for a judge to throw the book at Jackson, fining her with sanctions for creating a BS harassment case. Stay tuned ...
