Following three weeks atop the box office world, Gravity finally lost its grip on the number-one spot this week due to the Jackass presentation of Bad Grandpa. The raunchy comedy took in $32 million over its opening three days, incredibly giving Knoxville his SIXTH first place finisher (three previous Jackass films, Men in Black II, The Dukes of Hazzard.) Bad Grandpa Wins Box Office Bad Grandpa doubled its budget in just one weekend and easily outgrossed Gravity, which is a lock for numerous Oscar nominations and which still pulled in $20.3 million.
