Demetruis Glenn, 16, Arrested For Beating Elderly WWII Veteran to Death Aug 23rd 2013, 17:54, by Free Britney Demetruis Glenn, a 16-year-old from Washington State, is giving the suspects arrested for the murder of Chris Lane a run for their senseless, sickening money. Glenn has been arrested in the severe beating and death of Delbert Belton, an 88-year-old WWII veteran who was killed in the parking lot of a pool hall. The teenager has been charged as an adult, according to reports. Delbert Belton, WWII Veteran, Beaten to Death BY Teens Belton was pronounced dead Thursday after being allegedly beaten to death by Glenn and another teen, who is still at large, for unknown reasons. Two male teens pummeled Belton outside the pool hall in what police say was a random attack, sure to draw disturbing parallels with the death of Lane. Belton fought in the Battle of Okinawa, where he was shot in the leg but continued fighting. Affectionately called "Shorty," he enjoyed playing pool and working on cars. Belton was Ted Denison's best friend of 23 years, Denison said. "He was always there for me when I needed him," he added. "I thought of him more as a dad than I did a friend really." R.I.P.

Stephen Moyer to Get with Carrie Underwood in Sound of Music Aug 23rd 2013, 18:18, by Hilton Hater We know he can bite, but we'll soon find out if he can really sing. NBC has announced that we won't need to wait until True Blood Season 7 to next see Stephen Moyer on our small screens, as the British actor has been cast opposite Carrie Underwood on the network's upcoming adaption of The Sound of Music. Moyer, who worked in the London theater many years ago and appeared in a Hollywood Bowl production of Chicago, will portray Captain Georg Von Trapp in the iconic story, a single father and World War I hero. The three-hour production will be based on the original 1959 Broadway production and air on December 5. It will feature Moyer totally falling for Underwood's Maria. Not that we can blame him, of course.

Julio Yanez Arrested For Breaking, Entering, Giving Women Unwanted Back Rubs Aug 23rd 2013, 18:22, by Free Britney Julio Yanez takes the old adage "rubbing people the wrong way" to a new level. The Boone, N.C., resident was recently arrested after he allegedly entered a woman's unlocked apartment, got into her bed and tried to give her a back rub. She apparently wasn't into it. The 29-year-old had already been arrested for similar offenses twice before. In a July incident, a victim told Yanez to leave, but he refused and tried to give her a back rub again. The victim rebuffed him, and he was later arrested. After that incident, additional women came forward and claimed Yanez entered their rooms and tried to initiate back rubs in both April and June. Whatever his intentions might have been, Yanez has since been charged with multiple counts of breaking, entering and assault on a female.

Nidal Hasan Convicted of Murder in Fort Hood Shootings, May Face Death Penalty Aug 23rd 2013, 19:11, by Free Britney Maj. Nidal Hasan, the Army psychiatrist who four years ago turned his gun on fellow soldiers at Fort Hood, Texas, has been convicted of murder. He was found guilty on all counts, including premeditated murder. Hasan, 42, faces the death penalty. If he is executed, he would become the first person the U.S. military has put to death in more than 50 years. A 13-member panel, or jury, of high-ranking officers voted unanimously to convict Hasan, 42, for killing 13 people and injuring 31 others in 2009. As the verdict was read, Hasan had no visible reaction. Similarly, there was no outcry from the audience, which included relatives of the victims. Military judge Col. Tara Osborn warned against any outbursts. Several family members, however, left in tears. The panel took only about seven hours to convict Hasan, and now turns to sentencing phase of the trial to decide what punishment to recommend. Prosecutors are expected to call 16 witnesses over two days during the sentencing phase as they move to have Hasan face the death penalty.
