Sabrina Carpenter Cast on Girl Meets World Feb 1st 2013, 12:44 Rider Strong will not be a part of the Boy Meets World spinoff, but Sabrina Carpenter has been cast on Girl Meets World as its Shawn equivalent. The 13-year-old, perhaps best known for her voice acting role on Sofia the First, will portray Maya Fox on the highly-anticipated Girl Meets World. Maya is the best friend of Riley Matthews, the teenage daughter of Cory and Topanga (Ben Savage and Danielle Fishel), who are now married. Rowan Blanchard was recently cast as series lead Riley. The Girl Meets World pilot officially starts shooting next month, and it seems like a foregone conclusion that Disney Channel will fast-track it to series.
