Wizards Announcer Misidentifies Buzzer-Beating Airball as Winning "DAGGER!" Feb 28th 2013, 20:02 This is hilarious. At the conclusion of last night's Washington Wizards-Detroit Pistons game, small forward Trevor Ariza fired off a three-pointer from the corner. Just as the buzzer sounded, it hit the net and the Washington announcers went crazy, screaming about the "DAGGER!" that just propelled their team to victory. There was just one problem: The shot merely hit the net. It did not go into the net.
