300: Rise of an Empire Trailer Arrives! Jun 13th 2013, 18:46 The first trailer for 300: Rise of an Empire is here! It looks super epic (as expected). Take a gander: 300: Rise of an Empire Trailer The action sequel is based on the Frank Miller graphic novel Xerxes, and follows a naval war between the Persian Empire and the Greek city-states. Zack Snyder, who directed the first film, co-wrote the sequel and produced, with Noam Murro taking over the directing duties. Murro, however, follows the Snyder's vision from the first film, which can be seen in the trailer. Sullivan Stapleton, Eva Green, Lena Headey and David Wenham star. 300: Rise of an Empire hits theaters March 7, 2014.
