Cory Monteith Death Pushes Back Glee Season 5 Premiere Jul 19th 2013, 23:07, by Free Britney Glee has pushed back the premiere of its fifth season, originally set for September 19, following the tragic death of Cory Monteith last weekend. The hit Fox show will now return one week later, September 26. In a statement, Fox said that the network, producers and 20th Century Fox TV decided to delay starting production until August, pushing back the premiere. Vancouver, B.C., police found Cory Monteith dead in his hotel after he apparently overdosed on heroin and alcohol. The actor was just 31 years old. It's not yet known how the hit, music-filled show will address the loss of Finn, a central character for its first four seasons, in the upcoming Season 5.
