Ellen DeGeneres to Return as Oscars Host! Aug 2nd 2013, 15:49, by Amanda Denton Perhaps in response to the huge success the Golden Globes found in their two funny lady hosts, Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, last year, the Oscars have pegged Ellen DeGeneres to host this year's festivities. Ellen took to twitter this morning to make the announcement... "It's official: I'm hosting the #Oscars! I'd like to thank @TheAcademy, my wife Portia, and, oh dear, there goes the orchestra." The Ellen nod was one of the first actions taken by new Academy President, Cheryl Boone Issacs. We can hope this is just the first of many good decisions on her part!
