New York City mayoral candidate Christine Quinn now has the coveted endorsement of Sydney Leathers, who called it an "easy" choice in the 2013 election.
Leathers, the woman at the other end of the phone in the Anthony Weiner sexting scandal, previously said Weiner was too busy j--king off to be mayor.
It's a fair point. Now she's throwing her support behind his rival, Christine Quinn, who incidentally is vying to become NYC's first openly gay mayor.
"Obviously, she doesn't have the impulse control problems that Anthony has. I love the fact that she is out and proud," Sydney Leathers said of Quinn.
"I have so many gay friends, and I feel like she would be a great ally for that community. She cares about middle-class people. She cares about students."
"I feel like she is more in line and up to the standard that should be set for the mayor," said the 23-year-old, who just did a porn shoot to cash in on Weingergate.
When asked about the new endorsement, the Quinn campaign simply said, "No comment." Probably the best move, staying clear of all things Weiner.
She's leading the Democratic primary field, too, according to a new poll.
Quinn has the support of 25 percent of Democrats, followed by former Comptroller Bill Thompson with 16 percent and New York City Public Advocate Bill de Blasio with 14.
Weiner is now supported by just 10 percent of voters.
