AMC has released an alternate ending to Breaking Bad Season 5, one that invokes both Newhart and Malcolm In the Middle, as Bryan Cranston wakes up as Hal from his former Fox sitcom and babbles about the crazy nightmare he just experienced. "There was this guy who never spoke, who just rang a bell the whole time," Cranston sayd, adding that Hank looked like "the guy from The Shield" and Aaron Paul's Jesse Pinkman was "a little guy, a waif, a man-child, [a] kid who always looked like he was wearing his older brother's clothes."
