It's been a difficult few weeks for Phaedra Parks.
First her husband, Apollo Nida was sentenced to eight months in prison. Then Nida's pre-slammer press tour revealed that it's over between Apollo and Phaedra, as the Bravo star didn't even bother to attend her man's sentencing,
Now it looks as though Phaedra is trying to avoid having this difficult time in her life broadcast for millions of viewers. Sources say Parks will take a "leave of absence" from the The Real Housewives of Atlanta, starting immediately.
A production insider claims Phaedra has bowed out of the upcoming seventh season in order to focus on her family in the months following Apollo's imprisonment.
Phaedra may participate in season seven as a non-regular, and reportedly hopes to return full-time for season eight , but Bravo has not guaranteed her that she'll still have a job.
There's reportedly no going back now, however, as Phaedra skipped a recent event that was filmed for the show, as she learned while on her way that Apollo would be in attendance.
Months away from the season premiere and already major drama is going down! It wouldn't be a Housewives show if it were any other way!
