Turns out, Kanye West is as crazy behind closed doors as he is on stage.
The rapper was deposed this week as a part of a case in which she's accused of beating up a photographer - and TMZ has obtained the transcript of his awesomely ridiculous exchange with the alleged victim's lawyer, Nate Goldberg.
At one point, Kanye tells the attorney:
"I'm in the business of trying to make dope sh-t for the world. You're in the business of representing scums and trying to make as much money as long as there's this lapse in the law."
Not too crazy, right? But just you wait...
Goldberg later asked West about the track "Flashing Lights" because it includes lyrics that are anti-paparazzi, including the line "Till I get flashed by the paparazzi, damn, these nig-as got me."
Kanye, however, focused on a different part of that song than the one Goldberg cared about.
"You have to ask for a hall pass," said Mr. Kim Kardashian. "You can't just say the N word around me." It offends me because you're a white person saying nig-a."
He's a white person quoting a black person within the confines of a legal proceeding. But let's move on.
Kanye went on to draw a parallel between African-Americans fighting for civil rights in the 1960s and celebrities doing the same today.
Does he really equate the two eras? And the movement of blacks back then to be treated equally with stars nowadays not wanting cameraman standing outside their property?
"Yes, 100 ... I equate it to discrimination," he said. " I equate it to inequalities... we, as group of minorities here in L.A., as celebrities have to ban together to influence guys like this - guys trying to take the picture, guys trying to get the big win, guys trying to get the check."
Best of all? West is asked by Goldberg where he lives and replies: "Earth."
