On TLC's 19 Kids and Counting Season 14 Episode 6, Jill Duggar went shopping for a wedding dress. Flanked by her mother and siblings, obviously.
This point in the planning process was a family affair (aren't they all?) and took place on a girls trip to D.C. to visit Josh Duggar and his wife Anna.
Jill chose her maid of honor (Jana Duggar), and bridesmaids (her older sisters, plus Anna Duggar) and went to find a dress at a place in Fredericksburg, Va.
After a day of scoping out potential choices, Jill found her dress, and there was no hemming and hawing before she said yes to this special garment.
Sometimes, as we saw on 19 Kids and Counting Season 14 Episode 6, you just knew. This was certainly the case when she met Derick Dillard!
Before you know it, she'll be walking down the aisle in that beautiful gown, as each episode of the reality TV series brings us closer to that milestone.
With Jill, Derick, Jessa Duggar and Ben Seewald becoming quasi-celebrities in their own right these days, we know the events that are to come.
Even that doesn't make these moments any less exciting, though, which just speaks to how invested we become in each person and episode of 19 Kids.
That's because of moments like last night, when Jill's family members read her individual letters about her marriage and how everything will change.
Whatever you think of this family, their politics and their religious faith, the letters were truly touching, and it was pretty special to watch Jill's reaction.
The Arkansas natives grew up within 45 minutes of each other, but didn't meet until late 2011. Jill recalled when Derick stopped by while caroling with a church group, and not long after, "Derick contacted my dad and asked if he would be a prayer partner during his two-year term in Nepal."
As for Jill Duggar's wedding dress, it was a great choice by the 23-year-old. She looked wonderful on her wedding day, as we know, so we weren't surprised.
Meanwhile, the men of the Duggar family were otherwise occupied. Jim Bob and John David took Derick and Ben on a camping and rock climbing trip!
The goal? To see if they have what it takes "to be a Duggar." Of course, if they didn't, they likely would have high-tailed it long before the courting began.
Those Duggar family dating rules are trial by fire enough, y'all! But point taken, Jim Bob, on the camping and bonding trip to really size up these fellas.
The Duggar patriarch took some time to impart marriage advice to Ben and Derick, and he is nothing if not sincere in his concern and love for his girls.
