Jeb Bush is running for President in 2016 ... or at least he's sure making it sound like it. The former Florida governor says he is considering the possibility.
Actively, in fact. He's established a political action committee to help lay the groundwork for a run at the White House, though he won't say for certain it he's in.
The Republican revealed as much on Facebook, writing:
Merry Christmas and Happy Hanukkah! Like many of you, our family was blessed with the opportunity to gather together over the recent Thanksgiving holiday.
Columba and I are so proud of the wonderful adults our children have become, and we loved spending time with our three precious grandchildren.
We shared good food and watched a whole lot of football.
That's great and all, but clearly wasn't why Jeb Bush took to Facebook on this day. He then announced that he's contemplating a long-rumored White House bid:
We also talked about the future of our nation. As a result of these conversations and thoughtful consideration of the kind of strong leadership I think America needs, I have decided to actively explore the possibility of running for President of the United States.
In January, I also plan to establish a Leadership PAC that will help me facilitate conversations with citizens across America to discuss the most critical challenges facing our exceptional nation. The PAC's purpose will be to support leaders, ideas and policies that will expand opportunity and prosperity for all Americans.
In the coming months, I hope to visit with many of you and have a conversation about restoring the promise of America. Best wishes to you and your families for a happy holiday season.

The second son of former President George H.W. Bush and the younger brother of former President George W. Bush, Jeb has long been touted as a potential president.
The Jeb Bush 2016 buzz has been in effect since he left office as a popular two-term GOP governor of Florida in 2006, but he declined to run in 2008 or 2012.
If his campaign does come to fruition, along with the widely-expected Hillary Clinton 2016 run, it would set up a possible clash of the political dynasties.
On the flip side, neither candidate has committed to running, and name recognition will get you pretty far ... but only so far. Just ask ... well, Hillary in 2008.
