The X-Files Trailer: First New Footage! Jul 17th 2015, 14:40, by Hilton Hater The truth will still be out there in January of 2016. As previously reported, Fox is running back The X-Files for a brand new run this winter, with both David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson on board to reprise the roles that made them famous. And now Fox has unveiled a 15-second teaser that depicts the first actual footage from fresh episodes. In the video, we see a ship that appears to have been crashed, along with an army of men with flashlights and, in a very disturbing shot, some guy stepping on a "I Want to Believe" poster. The nerve! Still, viewers who want to believe need not wait TOO long for the return of Mulder and Scully and all their awesome mysteries: The X-Files premieres on January 24.
