Kris Jenner wrote a very sweet birthday message to Kathie Lee Gifford on Sunday.
The bittersweet occasion marked Kathie Lee's 62nd birthday... and also would have marked her husband Frank's 85th birthday.
Sadly, however, Frank Gifford died of natural causes a week before he could celebrate.
"Happy Birthday to my beautiful friend Kathie Lee...." Jenner wrote on Instagram, alongside a photo of the longtime friends smiling and embracing each other outdoors.
"I wish you peace and understanding. I know it's Franks birthday today too. I wish I was there with you today. Big hug my angel."
Kris and Caitlyn Jenner became close to Giffords many decades when their families would vacation together.
On Monday, meanwhile, Kathie Lee returned to The Today Show, expressing gratitude to all who reached out after Frank's passing and also telling viewers:
"We laughed up to the very end. I just want everybody to know that this is a man who was at complete peace in his life.He might have been the happiest, most content person in the world at this point in his life...
"His world got smaller as his God got bigger and he'd want you to know that, that he died in complete peace. He knew every sin he committed was forgiven."
