That's what happens when a father who has been confined to a wheelchair works his you-know-what off in physical therapy in order to walk - yes, walk! - his daughter down the aisle! Indeed, say hello to Ralph Duquette. A resident of Old Orchard Beach, Maine, Ralph is a survivor of leukemia who made it his mission to give daughter Heather away on her big day. Why did he work so hard? How could he NOT have, Ralph tells local station WLBZ: "When a father is presented with their daughter for the first time, they know how it's gonna end. "That they'll have to give her away and I'd have to walk her down the aisle one of these days, you know? I've known that for all my life, and when I got ill it was like, it's never gonna happen."
