MTV's vintage brand of teen mama drama is heading overseas.
Yes, the network that brought us Teen Mom and Teen Mom 2 is preparing to launch a British version of its venerable reality juggernaut.
The new spinoff is set to premiere in the fall, sources indicate.
Managing director of MTV UK Jill Offman said in a statement:
"MTV UK has a great track record of re-versioning hit shows from our sister channel. We turned Jersey Shore into Geordie Shore."
"We smashed ratings records in the process. We'll use this expertise to give Teen Mom a fresh lease of life, with a unique British twist."
"We're confident it have massive appeal to local audiences."
We are so sorry, United Kingdom. We are so, so sorry.
Fiona O'Sullivan of True North Productions, which will helm the production, issued a similarly optimistic appraisal of the new venture:
"True North is delighted to be entrusted with making the U.K. version of Teen Mom. We've have a long and fruitful relationship with MTV."
"With our previous success working together, we look forward to getting to work on this project to make more 'appointment to view' TV."
Teen Mom debuted in 2009 and is still going strong.
It was first a spinoff of 16 and Pregnant with "OG" cast members Farrah Abraham, Maci Bookout, Catelynn Lowell and Amber Portwood.
The popular Teen Mom 2, starring Jenelle Evans, Kailyn Lowry, Leah Calvert and Chelsea Houska, came along two years later in 2011.
