In the weeks since her breakup with Chester Castellaw, Paris Jackson has been receiving a lot of attention on Instagram.
Sadly, much of it has been negative (photos of Paris smoking cigarettes have drawn harsh criticism from fans), but today the 17-year-old daughter of Michael Jackson is racking up the likes with a selfie featuring her new hairstyle.
Yes, Paris is doing like a '90s Gwen Stefani thing here, and she's actually pulling it off.
In other news, we're so far from the '90s that they're starting to come back.
We're sorry if that makes you feel old, but at least you can get some use out of those Doc Marten boots and that tattered Billy Corgan "Zero" shirt.
Anyway, what's really great about this photo is that Ms. Jackson looks genuinely happy.
Following Paris' suicide attempt, rumors about her mental health and strained relationship with her family were everywhere on the Internet, and it seemed like the troubled teen wouldn't be given the time and space she needed to heal.
These days, Paris speaks openly about her past and her continued struggles (she recently revealed that she regularly attends AA meetings) and seems to be in a much better place.
We're not sure if this picture is worth 1,000 words, but it's definitely worth returning the smile.
