Lindsay Lohan's ridiculous lawsuit against Pitbull has appropriately been dismissed by a federal judge. Legal fees very well spent by broke ass Lindsay.
She actually sued, citing distress and defamation, over Pitbull's hilarious 2011 lyric, "So I'm tip-toein' to keep blowin'/ I got it locked up like Lindsay Lohan."
U.S. District Court Judge Denis Hurley ruled on Thursday that Pitbull's song, "Give Me Everything," is a protected piece of art, dismissing the case.
Lindsay claimed the song "includes an unwarranted, unauthorized, and unfavorable" reference that infringed upon her publicity rights and caused duress.
The judge's response? What's legalese for LMFAO?
In dismissing the suit, Hurley ruled that Lohan's Pitbull lawsuit essentially "doesn't apply to works of art, and that the First Amendment affords full protection."
Additionally, Hurley wrote that the lyrical shout-out does NOT mean "plaintiff's name was used for 'advertising' or 'purposes of trade'" as she tried to claim.
Hurley said even if he'd reached the opposite conclusion, the "isolated nature of the use of her name" in just one line would "prove fatal" to her claims.
Even more hilariously?
LiLo's lawyer, Stephanie Ovadia, was also sanctioned for plagiarism after it was reported that her court briefs were copied from newspapers, law firms and other websites.
Hurley fined Ovadia $750 for an "affront to the Court."
The only solace for Lohan? She dodged a bullet in the case, as a sanction for filing a frivolous lawsuit that Pitbull's attorney's had requested was denied.
