Donald Trump. Mark Cuban. The Twitter war of the Billionaires is on!
The beef started with Cuban offering Trump $1 million to shave his head in a response to Trump's $5 million offer to President Obama to produce his college transcripts.
That was November, and the Smart Phone Smackdown has only intensified since. Last week on the Tonight Show, the Dallas Mavericks owner stoked the flames.
Cuban produced a letter he received from Trump in 2004, when his show The Benefactor, an obvious takeoff on Trump's The Apprentice, had just been canceled.
In that letter, Trump wrote to Cuban:
"When I initially called you to congratulate you on The Benefactor - little did you or I realize how disastrous and embarrassing it would turn out to be for you."
The real estate mogul pompously continued, "If you ever decide to do another show, please call me and I will be happy to lend a helping hand."
Yeah. That's the Donald for you.
This is a guy who is actually threatening to sue Bill Maher for not paying him millions as part of an obvious joke. He can dish it out, but he can't take it.
Cuban, clearly enjoying the last laugh (in his own mind at least), told Jay Leno's audience, "Can I just say, Donald, how's that working out for you now?"
Trump, naturally, responded on Twitter the following morning:
"I watched Mark Cuban on Jay Leno last night - what a jerk!"
He's ripped on his golf game. His personality. The Mavericks' 31-35 record. And so on. When a follower asked for Donald's top confidence builder, he said:
"Going against losers like Mark Cuban!"
Cuban responded earlier this week, "You just see this crazy life I have & you're in awe. I'm just gonna take over the world while you getting mad."
"Let's settle this like men. I challenge u to a Harlem Shake duel @sharktank cast vs Apprentice cast. For charity ... we can all bring our birth certificates if that helps."
Challenge. Extended.
