Michelle Shocked Anti-Gay Rant: Audio Surfaces, May Be Worse Than Reported Mar 21st 2013, 18:16 Audio has surfaced of Michelle Shocked's anti-gay rant, and it's not pretty. The San Francisco Bay Guardian Online posted a clip of the self-proclaimed born-again Christian's bizarre ramblings to an audience in that city. Among her many controversial comments: Michelle Shocked Rant "Once Prop 8 gets instated and preachers are held at gunpoint and forced to marry the homosexuals, I'm pretty sure that that will be the signal for Jesus to come on back." "You said you wanted reality. If someone would be so gracious as to tweet out that Michelle Shocked just said from stage, 'God hates faggots.' Would you do it now?" Cue the crickets. Followed by the critics. (Former) fans of Michelle Shocked questioned her as she was onstage, but she stood behind her comments, even as the crowd grew audibly upset. Later, the singer claimed she "[did] not, nor have I ever, said or believed that God hates homosexuals" and said she was "damn sorry" for this. She also urged people not to comment if they weren't there ... but now that we do know exactly what was said, it sure sounds like an anti-gay rant. Pretty sure she can expect more cancelations, despite her response to the backlash, now that the audio of this bizarre incident has been released.
