Kris Kross Rapper Chris Kelly Dies at 34 May 2nd 2013, 06:18 Chris Kelly, one half of 1990s pop duo Kris Kross, was pronounced dead at an Atlanta hospital on Wednesday. He was 34 years old. An autopsy is planned before the official cause of death is announced but there is some speculation. A spokeswoman for the Fulton County police said, "It appears it may have been a possible drug overdose." Kelly and fellow rapper Chris Smith shot to super-stardom with the release of their 1992 hit "Jump." Their big gimmick was wearing their clothes backwards. Our thoughts and prayers are with Kelly's family at this time.
