Mermaids: New Evidence Nets Record Ratings, Raises Viewer Questions May 29th 2013, 20:18 There's no way… is there? A documentary that aired over the weekend on Discovery's Animal Planet has raised new questions over the existence of mermaids. Aptly titled Mermaids: The New Evidence, the series examines the myth and the rumors surrounding these aquatic hominids. It is a follow-up to 2012's Mermaids: The Body Found. The program netted record ratings for the network, despite The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration stating that "no evidence" of these creatures has ever been found.
