The Originals Preview: Can Vampire Diaries Spinoff Hold Its Own? Jul 21st 2013, 14:44, by Free Britney The Vampire Diaries spinoff The Originals appeared at San Diego Comic-Con Saturday, its cast poised to fill the shoes of its blood-sucking predecessors. Will enough viewers give the CW series a look, however? The Originals Season 1 Preview In order to provide viewers who didn't see TVD episode that launched the series a proper introduction, this fall's premiere will feature an interesting wrinkle: It will be told from Elijah's point of view, instead of main protagonist Klaus' point of view, yet will feature virtually the same plot as the backdoor pilot. Rebekah will appear both on The Vampire Diaries Season 5 opener, meanwhile, to wrap things up with Matt, before moving on to The Originals. The romance between Klaus and Caroline, meanwhile, is far from over, despite the fact that he has baby mama Hayley in the picture as well. What do you think: Will you watch The Originals?   Yes!
