Dr. Luke: Confirmed as American Idol Judge! Aug 25th 2013, 12:11, by Hilton Hater Dr. Luke has been confirmed as a new judge on American Idol. Try to contain your excitement, people. According to E! News, music producer (real name: Lukasz Gottwald) has been selected by producers after efforts to land Kanye West, Diddy and will.i.am  fell through. He will join Keith Urban and Jennifer Lopez on the 2014 panel. Luke is not a major name, of course, but neither was Simon Cowell when Idol premiered. The songwriter-producer is behind such hits as Kelly Clarkson's "Since U Been Gone," Kesha's "Tik Tok" and Katy Perry's "California Gurls."
