Sharknado 2 (official sequel title Sharknado 2: The Second One) is coming this July, and original stars Tara Reid and Ian Ziering will both be partaking.
Paul Bales, from the company behind Sharknado, said of their returns: "We're thrilled to be able to bring back the talent that made Sharknado a hit."
Can lightning strike twice for the surprise SyFy hit?
"I don't know, but it's a scientific fact that you're more likely to be killed by lightning than by a shark. This film will have lightning and sharks, so that's got to count for something."

SyFy's executive producer Thomas Vitale called Sharknado an "extraordinary 'perfect storm' which captured the attention of movie fans across the globe."
There had been speculation that Reid might be fired from the sequel, but it looks like she and the producers patched up whatever differences existed.

Sharknado's inaugural broadcast attracted 1.4 million viewers and was a sensation online, garnering as many as 5,000 tweets per minute on the topic.
It was about a tornado of sharks, after all.
Sharknado 2: The Second One is set to begin filming on location in Manhattan this February and is slated for a July 2014 premiere. Circle your calendars.
