Bethany Townsend is a 23-year old aspiring model from Worcester, England.
She developed Crohn's Disease at the age of 3, a condition that causes chronic inflammation of the gastrointestinal tract, but she recently grew tired of hiding her condition, of letting it get in the way of her dreams.
So Townsend posed in a bikini, her colostomy bag in full view, and posted the photo on Facebook.
It received nearly 200,000 Likes.
Townsend - who nearly died in 2010 when her bowels burst - has since become inspired to be a face (and body) of this condition, telling her story online and encouraging folks to make a donation in order to help find a cure.
