Beleaguered, broke and very possibly homeless former reality star Jon Gosselin showed up to his former wife Kate Gosselin's yard sale over the weekend.
Awkward alert, to say the absolute least.
Maybe dude wants to get some of his old junk back. Maybe it's the only way he can see his kids these days. Maybe he thirsts for 15 more minutes of fame.
Who the heck knows with this guy.
At St. John's United Church of Christ in Wernersville, Pa., their appliances, books, booster seats, car seats, clothing, furniture, toys and more were on sale.
Per a local radio station, Kate said, "No price tags! Let's wheel and deal!" A portion of the proceeds went towards the Animal Rescue League of Berks County.
Given that Jon Gosselin abandoned a kitten recently (according to rumors, at least), Kate's choice of charity was ... ironic? Interesting? Appropriate?
The yard sale will be featured in an upcoming Kate Plus 8 special, airing in December, but there are no plans to have the father of eight, 37, appear.
That's gotta sting. Not as much as the fact that recent hard times have left Jon Gosselin broke and evicted, but the fact that he can't stop it OR appear on it?
Surely she had plenty to say about her former husband's appearance, but she's not letting on as far as how it went. On Twitter, Kate was all about the charity.
"We had a memory filled X at r yardsale! Met hundreds of THE nicest ppl &saw many old friends 2! PLUS raised tons of $ for ARL Berks County," Kate tweeted.
Jon and Kate Gosselin spent years opening up about their problems in front of the camera. Hmmm... how did that go for them?
"Thank you ALL 4 coming out to meet us! My kids had lots of fun w ur kids on playground! And thx 2 for your generous donations to ARL Berks County!"
No word if Steve Neild was on hand to guard Kate's body.
Earlier this year, Jon said he regrets letting Discovery Health and TLC film his family from 2005-11, saying, "I don't think being on TV is good for kids."
"A lot of them do not want to film and they come to me and tell me that," he lamented, adding, "It's upsetting and I think it's embarrassing for them."
"They aren't enjoying having an ordinary childhood."
Kate says she's just doing what she has to do, and implying that if he can earn some money and help support the brood, then maybe she'd reconsider:
"If there was another way to singly support eight children, you would not know this name and I would be on an island, and so would they. You would never hear from us again."
"Having said that, this is a pretty fantastic way to feed my children, keep them in an amazing house, at an amazing school, and make memories together."
Are Kate Gosselin and Steve Neild dating? We wouldn't necessarily assume so ... but we wouldn't write off the possibility either.
"So I understand this situation because I landed on TV somehow. I look at it as work and the kids are with me, they run in and out of the frame, and we go to cool places sometimes."
"That's just my life and cameras are there," she said.
