Len Goodman has confirmed this departure from Dancing with the Stars.
The panelist, who has been with the ABC competition since its very first Jive, told the media today that the upcoming spring season of Dancing with the Stars will be his last.
"Next year, I'm not going to do the flying backwards and forwards - I'm not going to do the American show...I've got to have a bit of time off," Goodman told reporters gathered for the U.K. series Strictly Come Dancing.
Goodman has sat alongside Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno Tonioli as a judge on Dancing with the Stars since 2005; this past season, Julianne Hough turned the trio into a quartet.
"Dancing with the Stars - next year is their 10th year, it's the 20th series of the show. So I think that's a nice place to stop," Goodman added of his decision.
In related news, Cheryl Burke - who has been with the series since Season 2 - will not return next year as a professional. She has expressed interest in judging, however, if producers want to find a replacement for Goodman.
An insider tells E! News that folks behind the scenes brought in Hough knowing Goodman may be on his way out.
And also, we assume, because she's ridiculously good looking.
The soap star captured the first-ver mirror ball, while Mazo never again finished higher than eighth on Dancing with the Stars.
