Rumors about Miranda Lambert's personal life are nothing new, but the speculation usually comes from a tabloid headline, not from the singer herself.
Whether it's a discussion of Miranda's weight loss, or a phony report that she's getting divorced from Blake Shelton, Lambert is a staple in celebrity gossip mags, and her latest interview with Marie Claire is sure to garner even more negative attention.
Asked about her habit of popping Claritin daily, Miranda replied, "I have to take them in the morning because I drink a lot. Advil helps. So does a Bloody Mary."
Miranda went on to discuss how her drinking has affected her health, saying, "You know when you have to check those boxes when you go to the doctor? Do you drink every day? Never? Socially? I'm always like, Hmmm, the truth or not the truth?"
Reports of Lambert drinking heavily have been around for years, but again, Miranda's a one-woman rumor mill.
Now that she's discussed her boozing habits openly, speculation that Miranda and Blake's marriage is fueled by alcohol is sure to resurface.
Of course, Shelton has been joking about his drinking for years, and that may just be what Lambert is doing here.
Either way, now that she's copped to drinking "a lot," the next time she shows up to an event looking 20 pounds lighter, she can be sure there will plenty of headlines about her living on liquor.
