We have an update on the sad situation surrounding Bobbi Kristina Brown.
As previously reported, the only child of Bobby Brown and Whitney Houston was found unresponsive in a bathtub inside her home on Saturday.
Her husband and a friend performance CPR and called 911 before paramedics arrived and transported Bobbi Kristina to a Georgia hospital.
Here is what we can now add to this troubling story:
- Bobbi Kristina was found face down in the bathtub.
- She is now breathing, but doctors have placed her in a medically-induced coma.
- Physicians are yet to determine a cause for what happened.
- Hours after the incident took place, authorities searched Brown's home for drugs and came up empty. No illicit substances were found on the premises.
Many, of course, feared an overdose at first because Bobbi Kristina has battled drug problems in the past.
There was talk of Brown entering rehab not long after her mother passed away, a tragic event that took place nearly three years ago to the day (on February 11, 2012).
However, Bobbi Kristina's cousin, YF Kennedy tells E! News that his relative has been living a clean life for awhile now.
"Krissi doesn't do drugs," he says. "She hasn't been drinking or doing drugs and she's cut down on cigarettes. She's been trying to get her music together and keep her voice clean. Her voice is so beautiful."
Kennedy added that times have been tough for Bobbi Kristina, but not to the point where she would harm herself on purpose.
"She's still been going through the grieving stages but is trying to keep her spirits up," Kennedy says. "She's been going to the gym every day with her husband and trying to be happy. She swims a lot."
"It's a rough time lately with the anniversary," he added, referring to Whitney's stunning death. "So this is a blow to the family."
