Apparently Hanks attended the Rangers vs. Bruins game on Wednesday at Madison Square Garden, acknowledging the crowd with a wave when shown on the Jumbotron.
Someone, somehow, for some reason then tossed Haks a volleyball with his former Cast Away's face painted on it, prompting the amazing photo above.
"ICYMI at the #NYR game last night, Tom Hanks and Wilson were finally reunited! #BFF," the team's official social media account captioned the image.
Wilson and Hanks, of course, were marooned on an island in the South Pacific for years back in 2000.
The volleyball was Hanks' character's only friend for four years, though the latter lost control of him during his eventual escape from isolation.
Sometimes, in our worst nightmares, we can still hear Chuck the FedEx employee's screams: WIIIIIILSON! I'm sorry!!!!
