Cat Photo Divides Internet: Which Way is This Feline Going? Apr 10th 2015, 14:56, by Hilton Hater By now we can all agree, right? This dress is black and blue. (Or is it white and gold? Dag nammit!) So let's move on... to the next topic that will create havoc around the Internet. The following photo was posted last night on 9Gag, with a simple question attached to the image: Is this cat going up or down? Easy, no? The cat is clearly going down "because generally the wood would be flat on the horizontal portion of the stairs and the stone is on the back/vertical portion of the stairs," as one user wrote. But wait. Might the feline be going up? "You just have to imagine the camera in a different angle," argues on commenter who takes this point of view. Another individual agreed that the pet was walking up those stairs, relying on biological evidence that differed from those who claimed the opposite. "Look at the cat's tail - it's facing upwards, or the opposite of the direction it's moving in," wrote another. "If the cat were to go up the stairs, it's tail would point downwards."
