Yesterday, Kylie Jenner posted a photo of her butt and boobs on Instagram.
If you're one of the 17-year-old's 31 million followers, then you know that's not exactly earth-shattering news.
However, this time, things are a little different, as the pic above is more than just another racy Kylie Jenner selfie.
What you see there is an ad. Sex sells, as you may have heard, and in this case sex sells some sort of cream that will magically give you a Kardashi-ass overnight.
"I love sharing my beauty secrets with you guys and this is a favorite! @PureLeef offers products with All Natural ingredients (which is important to me) to help maintain & accentuate your curves!" says Kylie, in a post that was not at all the work of an advertising copywriter.
"@PureLeef's butt enhancement cream & Breast plumping lotion stimulate fat cells in the target areas. I started seeing results after only a month of consistent use."
She ended with the hashtag "#CurvesOnFleek," in case you didn't already get the message that she really likes her lady lumps.
Obiously, celebs endorse products on Instagram all the time, and for reality stars like Kylie, social media endorsement deals can account for a large chunk of their revenue.
There's nothing wrong with that most of the time, but in Kylie's case, the whole thing seems a little sleazy because:
- She's clearly lying about this product's capabilities, and
- Her fanbase is young, impressionable, and vulnerable to dumb scams like this one.
So kids - before you go blowing your allowance on Kylie's Curve Cream, just remember this is the same girl that spent the better part of a year trying to convince the world that she never got lip fillers.
We're not saying Kylie hasn't been "enhanced," but we are saying her new look didn't come in a bottle.
