Was her period of euphoria just for show?
Celebrity author Ian Halperin claims to have it on good authority that former Olympian and transgender advocate Catilyn Jenner has second thoughts about becoming a woman.
In his new book, Kardashian Dynasty: The Controversial Rise of America's Royal Family, Halperin reveals that Jenner's hasn't really been living her truth, as she so publicly declared after transitioning from male to female at the age of 65.
While conducting research for the tell-all, Halperin discovered through multiple sources that Jenner was "miserable for months" after becoming Caitlyn in the spring of 2015.
"One source confirmed to me Caitlyn has made whispers of 'sex change regret,' hinting she might go back to being Bruce Jenner," Halerpin told The Wrap.
"It hasn't been easy for Caitlyn, it's been very hard," one of the advocate's long-time friend admitted.
"She's thrilled she has raised awareness about how transgender people have long been discriminated against but I think there's a chance she'll de-transition in the next couple years. I don't think it would surprise anybody in her inner circle.
"It has been much harder than she anticipated. My heart goes out to her and I know her true friends will be there to support her on whatever path she chooses."
Halperin recalled another friend saying that Jenner is "still into women and wants to meet the right one."
The author concluded from his research that Jenner will de-transition in the next few years, but still retain her position as a transgender advocate.
It's like, Halperin said, that she'll discuss the difficulties adjusting to her life as a woman, and that it was more of a challenge than she initially thought.
The book also explores Jenner's marriage to wife #3, Kris, to whom she was married for 23 years.
Kris, alleges Halperin, tried religious therapy in order to rid her husband of her transgender thoughts.
Is it really possible that Jenner will transition back to Bruce, after all she's confessed about being a woman trapped in a man's body?
