Father of Ariel Winter Objects to Guardianship, Wants to Care for Daughter Nov 20th 2012, 11:14 With the public having already heard from a slew of those close to Ariel Winter - from Chrystal Workman, who is accused of abusing this young actress, to the brother who doesn't believe such allegations are true - Glenn Workman has now spoken out. Winter's father, Workman objects to a court ordering Winter to reside with sister Shanelle. "I am physically, emotionally, and financially capable of caring for my daughter, without limitation. No evidence has been produced that suggests any detriment to Ariel associated with my father-daughter relationship with her," Workman writes in a statement, adding: "I am a frugal and modest person with a moderate income who doesn't need Ariel's income to survive." While we've heard very little about Ariel's dad, he says he and the 14-year old get along very well and he finds her to be "very interesting." "I believe Ariel has demonstrated a lot of maturity and is at an age now that she should have more control over her finances." Workman makes no mention of the abuse charges and doesn't go into detail regarding his relationship with Chrystal, which has been strained for years. Sources say Winter is doing well and has split from Cameron Palatas, the 18-year old boyfriend allegedly behind some of this conflict. She is due in court today in order to a judge to rule about the guardianship.
