Elizabeth Vargas and Marc Cohn are headed for a divorce.
News of this pending split comes just days after Vargas checked back into a rehab center to deal with an addiction to alcohol.
The ABC anchor admitted via statement that her ongoing personal struggles have taken a toll on her family, which includes her husband and their sons Zachary, 11, and Samuel, 8.
"Marc and Elizabeth are in divorce proceedings," a source tells People of the couple, who has been married since 2002. "The kids are with him in New York while she seeks treatment.
Cohn, a singer/songwriter currently on break from touring, issued an exclusive statement to the magazine that sent support for his estranged wife.
He writes: "On behalf of Elizabeth's family, we are in total support of her recovery and want her to be well."
