Just a few weeks after becoming Husband and Wife, Jill and Derick Dillard are preparing to become Mother and Father.
The couple is expecting its first child!
Not long after the news went public, Michelle Duggar and Jim Bob Duggar both gushed over the miracle, with the latter sure his son-in-law will be a "wonderful father" and the former simply saying there's "a lot of joy" around the family these days.
Jill Duggar and her husband Derick Dillard have some lunch at work. So cute.
Now, the parents-to-be have spoken out for the first time about the impending child.
"We are so grateful to God for this new little blessing! We appreciate all the well-wishes and are enjoying this new season of life as we look forward to parenthood!" Jill and Derick said via statement.
Through TLC, meanwhile, Michelle and Jim Bob reiterated their happiness.
"We are so excited for Derick and Jill that they are expecting their first baby!" the 19 Kids and Counting stars said. "They will be such loving, awesome parents. We look forward to welcoming another grandchild into our family. We are so grateful for all the support as our family and our love multiplies! What Joy!"
Viewers can track Jill and Derick's jourtney to parenthood - starting with their wedding planning - when new episodes return Tuesday, September 2 at 9/8c on TLC.
The Arkansas natives grew up within 45 minutes of each other, but didn't meet until late 2011. Jill recalled when Derick stopped by while caroling with a church group, and not long after, "Derick contacted my dad and asked if he would be a prayer partner during his two-year term in Nepal."
