Sarah Manchester is a middle school math teacher from Silver Spring, Maryland.
But she didn't need a TI-82 calculator on Wheel of Fortune this week to add up all of her winnings. After correctly guessing the final puzzle, one card held by host Pat Sajak said it all:
$1 million.
"Can you use a million dollars?" Sajak asked upon revealing that Manchester had become the show's third-ever ultimate prize winner.
Sarah then covered her mouth in shock and screamed as her family ran down to join her on stage.
"My biggest goal was I wanted to get to the bonus round and win something because I wanted to give them that chance to run out and hug and everyone dance like you see on the show," Machester said today during an appearance on Good Morning America.
In April, a Wheel of Fortune contestant blew a very easy chance at the $1 million prize, while we also ran a story about the worst puzzle guess in show history just a few weeks ago.
So it's nice to do the opposite for a change and hand over the spotlight to a winner for a change. And not just any winner.
A gigantic, humongous winner!!!
Wow! This may be the greatest Wheel of Fortune solve in the history of this game show.
