In a move that's likely to piss off some traditional country fans, Miley Cyrus decided to cover a song by her godmother Dolly Parton during a recent concert in Australia.
Nice, right? Well, she took some liberties with the lyrics:
While Dolly has defended Miley in the past, the Nashville legend might have a problem with the combination of weed glasses and lyrics about a "stupid slut."
Yup, that happened in Miles' cover of Parton's "Jolene."
In fairness, the classic country song is about a woman trying to steal the singer's man, but Dolly obviously favored a far more subtle lyrical approach.
Of course, Miley's been drunk for most of the Bangerz tour, so we probably shouldn't read too much into her onstage improvisations. Or anything she does.
After all, we all do dumb things when we've been drinking, Miley has her regrettable moments in front of tens of thousands of Aussies.
Amazingly, Miley staring into your soul through her ganja-glasses and calling you a slut probably isn't the most SMH moment of the tour so far.
In fact, it's not even the number one of the week. No, that honor belongs to Miley Cyrus falling on stage in front of a different Aussie crowd.
So yeah, Miley's been getting "turnt" as she likes to say, in a big way lately.
Hopefully, she'll be wrapping up her tour and heading to rehab soon.
