Even though Sex and the City 2 was a commercial and critical failure by pretty much any standard, there are still some diehard Carrie-philes out there clamoring for an update on the pun-happy Mrs. Big.
And based on Sarah Jessica Parker's latest Instagram post, it seems they may soon get their wish:
"It was take your @sjpcollection shoes to work day," Parker captioned the above photo. "#longdayforcarrie #whewwthosesteps #runninginheels #taxi!"
Parker also posted a photo of the stoop in front of Carrie's apartment with a caption reading, "That's a wrap ladies."
Not exactly hard evidence, but recent comments made by Jennifer Hudson - who played Carrie's assistant in the first film - have further stoked the flames of fan enthusiasm:
"I think it might be happening," Hudsaon said in a recent interview. "Somebody just came to me talking about that...It might happen, so look for it."
Ever since Sex and the City 2 flopped at the box office back in 2010, it's seemed unlikely that fans would get another taste of the Cosmo-swilling foursome.
Actress Kristin Davis specifically said Sex and the City 3 was a no-go shortly after SATC 2 bombed. But time heals all wounds, and it seems that four years after the ladies' disastrous trip to the Middle East, fans are willing to forgive and forget.
But perhaps Carrie and company should stay in Manhattan this time.
