Poor Teresa Giudice thought The Real Housewives of New Jersey would be a good time. How naive, by her own admission, that notion seems right now.
From flipping tables to pleading guilty to fraud charges, the Bravo star has seen the slow destruction of her image and life in general since she signed on.
Teresa Giudice is not gonna take any crap. Her table-flipping reputation will precede her in prison, thanks to The Real Housewives of New Jersey Season 1.
"I was like, 'I came on the show for fun and it went a totally different way,'" Teresa, 42, said of the show that made her a household name, if not a beloved one.
"I mean, just look at where I'm at now," she laments. "I was so naive."
"There were people that came on the show that tried to hurt Joe and I. Some of them were housewives and some of them were strangers," she lamented."
"Like, even people that just came to parties started a lot of trouble."
"Just be careful," she told her co-stars on The Real Housewives of New Jersey Season 6 Episode 17. "There are people that come on the show that try to hurt you."
Still, Teresa said she's "changed for the better" since the show started (despite going to prison in January). "I don't let the petty things bother me anymore," she says.
"I just worry about the important things in life now."
Laughable as that sounds, there is something about being hit with a 15-month stint in the clink that may well have given her a much-needed reality check.
Teresa will don an orange jumpsuit January 5.
Regarding their respective prison sentences, as handed down by a judge this fall, her husband Joe adds, "I gotta blame myself. Who else am I gonna blame?"
If you watch The Real Housewives of New Jersey online, you know the two have found plenty of others to blame for their many, many issues in the past.
Guess they finally ran out of excuses.
