As previously reported, Ireland Baldwin has checked herself into rehab, citing "emotional trauma" as the vague reason for why she has sought professional assistance.
This announcement, of course, has spawned many theories as to what is wrong with the 19-year old, with many speculating that her famous father may have played some role in Ireland's demise.
Several years ago, in a voicemail that went public, Alec Baldwin blasted his then-12-year old child as a "pig," while the actor's temper hasn't exactly subsided in the time since.
But Ireland Baldwin would like to make it clear: she and her father get along just fine, thank you very much...
The teenager posted this photo on Twitter yesterday, including with it an update on both her condition and her relationship with her parents.
"Today I will practice tolerance, acceptance and love of others as they are, and myself as I am. This is the last thing I'm going to say about everything that's been going on…
"Both of my parents, step mom, carmen, and friends were all there for me at all times. Little do you know… We've never left each other's sides."
Ireland then concluded:
"I would also be so grateful if everyone didn't choose to attack & blame anyone for what I chose to do with my life. I'm taking care of me."
Fair enough, certainly.
Plus, Baldwin has a much bigger problem on her hands at the moment: apparently Andy Dick is being a dick to her in rehab.
