Bobbi Kristina Brown's boyfriend Nick Gordon has been embroiled in controversy ever since she was found face down in her bathtub January 31.
Nick's role in this tragedy, and in her life in general, have been the subject of much debate, but a shocking new report asks this question:
Whas there another man secretly in her life before the incident?
Brown's friend and neighbor Debra Reis Brooks tells Radar that the 22-year-old was indeed close to another man before she slipped into a coma.
Brooks, 56, claimed that her hot-tempered boyfriend Nick Gordon found out, flying into a jealous rage over a possible sex romp the two had.
This was the night before the near-drowning. Nick, friend Max Lomas, 25, and Lomas' girlfriend, Danyela Bradley, 18, were hanging out.
According to Brooks' account of that night, Brown and Gordon "had a fight at 12:30 a.m.," and then "Nick and Max left and went out."
"That's supposedly when this other guy came over to Krissi's."
"There was some discussion of some guy who came over and [he and Bobbi Kristina Brown] fooled around - that's what Nick said!"
Radar says the man could be Duane Tyrone Hall, 24.
Brown posted a solo selfie of herself around 3 a.m., and then another of herself with Hall, about six hours before her unconscious body was found.
Hall may have been the person who was initially identified in press reports as "Edwin Demarco," and the reason for a huge dispute with Nick.
Another source adds, "If Nick caught Bobbi Kristina in bed with a guy, it would certainly make sense that a violent confrontation [would occur."
Radar attempted to reach Hall to ask him about Brooks' comments, but his mom Murline, 57, said her son was "out of town" and unavailable.
When asked if she was aware of a sexual relationship with Brown, she said, "I don't know anything about that so I can't help you there."
Hall was also named in a January 14 police report when cops arrested Max Lomas for possession of marijuana and distribution of drugs.
As for Nick, he went to rehab following an epic meltdown / intervention featuring Dr. Phil earlier this year. But he is now a free man.
Wasting little time, Nick Gordon begged Bobby Brown - publicly, via attorneys of course - to let him see the ailing Krissie again this week.
