In the weeks since the Josh Duggar molestation scandal first became public knowledge, many have speculated that there were other skeletons in the famous family's closet just waiting to be revealed.
Now, it seems the other shoe may have dropped, as In Touch Weekly is reporting that the Arkansas Department of Human Services called the police on the Duggars just last month after the family refused to cooperate with an investigation.
According to the magazine, investigators called the cops on May 27 after Michelle and Jim Bob refused to allow the DHS to see a minor that they were concerned about.
In Touch will publish a full transcript of the 911 call in its new issue. An excerpt that's already been released quotes an anonymous DHS investigator as saying, "We have to see the child to make sure the child is alright. So we just need police assistance."
This bombshell revelation means not only that the Arkansas state authorities are still closely monitoring the Duggar household, but also that the Duggars have not been not cooperating with investigators despite the past abuse that took place under their roof.
In Touch, of course, is the tabloid that first revealed that Josh Duggar was named in a sexual abuse investigation.
The latest news comes on the heels of the Duggars' last-ditch efforts to rebuild their public image - a campaign that's included multiple interviews on Fox News and a sympathetic People magazine piece in which neighbors of the Duggars sang the family's praises.
The 19 Kids and Counting clan has yet to publicly respond to these most recent allegations.
