From the moment we learned that Chris Brown has a daughter, we knew that the custody battle between Breezy and baby mama Nia Guzman would eventually get ugly.
Sure enough, things took a turn for the Chris Brown-ish not long after news of little Royalty went public.
For months, Chris and Nia have been fighting over child support and the question of what city Royalty should live in. (Guzman is located in Houston, Chris - when he's not terrorizing the country on tour - resides in LA.)
Nia has said that she doesn't think Royalty is safe with Chris, and given his long history of violence and trouble with the law, it's not hard to see why she might feel that way,
Today, Chris and Nia will both give their side of the story to a judge (TMZ reports that they entered the courtroom moments ago), and insiders say Chris' top priority has nothing to do with his daughter's safety.
No, apparently, Chris really just wants Nia to stop talking smack about him online, and he'll ask the judge to issue a gag order.
The weird thing is, Nia's Instagram disses are actually pretty tame. She mainly just accuses her baby daddy of putting the 1-year-old in harm's way, such as when Chris took Royalty on tour with him.
That's not exactly defamation of character, and we imagine the judge will side with Nia.
Also on the docket for today: the matters of custody time (Chris wants 50/50; Nia wants him to have limited, supervised visits.) and child support (Chris wants to pay a paltry $2,500 a month; Nia wants $15,000).
