Lady Gaga has released the music video for her latest single.
But it's unlike any music video you've ever seen before.
Set to "Til It Happens To You," the video is directed by Catherine Hardwicke. It stars Gaga and Nikki Reed and it chronicles the very serious issue of campus rape.
The track is theme for the campus rape documentary "The Hunting Ground," which debuted in January and has been screened at hundreds of colleges around the nation.
As seen here, the footage opens with a warning that its depictions of sexual assault are graphic, "but reflects the reality of what is happening daily on college campuses."
"I hope that this PSA, with its raw and truthful portrayals, will send a clear message that we need to support these courageous survivors and end this epidemic plaguing our college campuses," says Hardwicke.
The video tells the tragic story of four diverse people who are sexually assaulted. Its conclusion reflects the women who have spoken out about these incidents.
A portion of proceeds from the sale of the song - which is now available on iTunes and other music services - will be donated to organizations that help victims of sexual assault.
