Bobbi Kristina Brown's former boyfriend Nick Gordon admits he got into a fight with her the night before her death, but denies any role in her demise.
In response to a wrongful death lawsuit filed by her estate, Nick Gordon denies killing Bobbi Kristina Brown in a legal response filed in the case.
Bedelia Hargrove, the conservator of the late celebrity's holdings, alleged that she was beaten and thrown into a wall by Nick prior to nearly drowning.
This, the estate claims, knocked out two of her teeth; Nick is also accused of giving her a "toxic cocktail" and placing her in a tub full of cold water.
The court appointed attorney also accuses their mutual friends Max Lomas and Danyela Bradley of having some involvement in Bobbi's drowning.
Nick Gordon has finally responded to the suit after staging a visit to Bobbi's grave site (and getting paid $40,000 after tipping off the paparazzi).
His legal team, helmed by Casey Anthony attorney Jose Baez, have requested the judge throw out the "scandalous" lawsuit immediately.
In his filing, Gordon does admit to getting into a fight with Bobbi the night before the bathtub incident from which she never regained consciousness.
He also reportedly acknowledges there were surveillance cameras in the couple's home, but he denies directly harming Bobbi in any way.
"Defendant admits the parties went out on the night in question, that he reviewed video footage and then had an argument with Ms. Brown."
Gordon also acknowledges that he then changed his clothes. However, "Defendant denies the remaining allegations," the legal documents state.
"Defendant admits that he tried to 'wake up' Ms. Brown and attempted to get her to react and that he performed CPR on her," Nick's filing notes.
Rumors that Nick came from a coke an alcohol bender to discover Bobbi Kristina had an unnamed man over while he was out have run rampant.
It has also been rumored that Nick watched some security footage, saw Bobbi having another man over and went into a jealous rage as a result.
Interestingly, the filing also underlines that Nick was not legally married to Bobbi, despite her public claims that they were husband and wife. As such:
"There are no proceeding for divorce, separate maintenance, annulment, or other domestic relations actions that may ordinarily occur in this state."
Gordon's legal filing could make for an intriguing angle, as Hargrove claims Nick took $11,000 from her bank account AFTER she was in a coma.
